About Centre First Counselling
Centre First Counselling was created to be a place of collaboration and safe communication between counsellor and client. We offer Accessible Counselling in Saskatchewan!
The name Centre First Counselling was influenced by a love of pottery. A fundamental skill in throwing pottery is centering the clay. Centering the clay contributes heavily to the overall form and function of the piece. A well centred piece creates stability and is much easier to work with.
When we apply this to mental health, we see that no matter what the subject matter or timeline, our goal is to grow the skills of being able to regulate and to be present. The more we regulate and move into alignment with ourselves, the more we create the conditions for safety and healing in our bodies. When we take the time to centre ourselves each session, we create the space to grow. Honoring our nervous systems needs may allow us more capacity to work towards our goals constantly creating the wonder that is us.
Centre First Counselling aims to:
- Offer accessible mental health counselling
- Create a space of collaboration
- Offer a judgement free space and safe environment for all
We offer virtual and telephone counselling during the early morning, daytime, evening and weekends to allow for easier access. Limited sliding scale appointments are available for those who need.
It can be challenging to reach out for counselling and it can be frustrating to shop around for the right counsellor for you. Pat yourself on the back! You are in the process of taking care of yourself and that is exciting :). To make things easier, we offer a 15 minute free consultation for you to ask questions and for us to see if we are a good fit for you at this time.
